その男は、ベルタという名の男に赤いパーカーを着せて旅に出る。
それは、なにかの巡礼のようでもあり、弔いの旅のようでもある。
男はみつめられてみつめかえす。

この映画は"他者との距離の量"を問題にしているのではなく、
"距離"そのものをみいだします。
それは、まったく関係性のわからない二人の男の間の"距離"であると同時に、
カメラの背後にたった、二人から見えているけれど覆われたままのわたしとの"距離"でもあります。
ゆるやかな時間の流れで、"距離の量"は変化しても、"距離"そのものは変わらないのです。

The man goes on a trip with a man called "Berta" wearing a red parka.
The trip seems to be a pilgrimage, or a trip to a funeral.
The men are stared and they stare back at it.

What this movie reveals is not "a quantity of distance to others" but "a distance to others" itself.
It's "a distance" between the two men whom we can't get their relationship.
At the same time, it's a "distance" between them and me who is seen from them
but is covered behind a camera.
By time flowing slowly, although "a quantity of distance" has been changing,
"a distance" itself doesn't change.
